The Live Scan (Fingerprinting) requirement is not simply administrative. It is a mandatory diocesan guideline that helps ensure that any lay minister of the parish is cleared so that we can foster a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for one another, our parishioners, guests, visitors, and especially our youth, children, and vulnerable adults. This requirement also affirms our shared commitment to responsible stewardship and the trust that the Church places in each of us who serve in ministry.

If you have never completed Live Scan fingerprinting for ministry in the Diocese of Sacramento, please do so as soon as possible. After your fingerprints are electronically submitted through Live Scan, they are transmitted to the appropriate state and federal agencies for the required background review. Once the review is complete, the Diocese is notified that this requirement has been fulfilled. Important note about fingerprinting: If you have concerns about submitting fingerprints due to immigration-related matters, do not complete the Live Scan form, and please contact Alma Franco at the Parish Office.

Please complete the following:

1. Obtain the parish Live Scan Request Form.
2. Visit an approved Live Scan location: UPS Store, 3505 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA.
3. Bring a valid photo ID.
4. Pay the Live Scan fee of $35.00. If you need assistance to pay this fee, please contact the Parish Office.
5. After completing Live Scan, please email [email protected] a copy of your recepit, or bring it to the Parish Office.

Have you already completed Live Scan? If you have already completed the Live Scan requirement for ministry in the Diocese of Sacramento, please email [email protected] with your full legal name and date of birth. We will notify the Diocese that this requirement has been fulfilled.

It is a mandatory diocesan guideline that helps ensure that any lay minister of the parish is equipped with the necessary knowledge to foster a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for one another, our parishioners, guests, visitors, and especially our youth, children, and vulnerable adults. This requirement will help you and our parish build upon our shared commitment to responsible stewardship and the trust that the Church places in each of us who serve in ministry.

Safe Haven Training is required for lay ministers and must be renewed every three years.

You may satisfy this requirement by attending one of the following in-person training sessions or by completing the online Safe Haven Training.
